We want to help women have the confidence to experience pregnancy and birth on their own terms -- in the way they envision & imagine it. Peaceful Beginnings is committed to supporting women, from all walks of life, to achieve the birth of their dreams…as long as it remains safe for mom and baby.

What could be better than birthing a new life in a space of familiarity - filled with love, comfort, and the people closest to your heart? Being at home, in your own nest, allows for a gentle yet empowering birthing experience.
Home, with its familiar sights, smells, and rhythms, allows you to weave your intentions into the fiber of your birthing space. Being home can allow mothers to surrender to the natural rhythms of labor and go to a place of deep relaxation, allowing labor to progress naturally and harmoniously.
Labor with the confidence in the knowledge that we are by you at every moment to guide and support you as you bring your baby forth.

Nestled in an unassuming Gwynn Oak neighborhood, Peaceful Beginnings stands as an oasis of tranquility dedicated to celebrating the miracle of birth. We hope our birthing sanctuary will make you feel like an honored family member — because you have arrived at your home away from home. We exist to give you a safe, empowering birth journey and spoil you along the way.
Our two birthing suites have been designed to create a sacred space for your labor experience. Each queen-sized bed has been appointed with beautiful linens that honor your body’s need for rest during labor. The large tubs are designed to help you relax and guide the labor process. Or, perhaps you will labor in the rain shower, a luxurious 4-D water experience that allows warm water to soothe and massage your laboring body.
Your family will have full access to the comfort areas, which include a plush living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and an adorable bathroom. We hope Grandma & the siblings will consider making the baby a birthday cake while everyone waits.
And, for your and your family’s peace of mind, Peaceful Beginnings Birthing Sanctuary is only 2.5 miles from Sinai Hospital. In the rare case of an emergency, it is a short transfer to a higher level of care.
